Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

action/adventure. r. when a deadly disease breaks out on a south american cruise liner, the passengers and crew are quarantined to their cabins. as the days pass and the virus spreads, the surviving passengers rebel, and the ship becomes a violent battleground. (roger ebert, chicago sun-times) 78 minutes

slapstick comedy. r. alan arkin, the director-producer-star of stinker movies such as the bucket list, has a real knack for directing his own feature. he can make a picture that comes close to being a classic. with the comedy, he doesnt so much make a movie as he allows it to happen, and its silly and dirty and fun. it has a goofy, screwball spirit. it stars arkin as the cantankerous j.d., an aging radio star who finds his old act isnt funny. he puts together a traveling comedy act with a former child star, and at the end theyre in the act of defecating on stage. (kennedy) 98 minutes

romantic comedy. **. pg-13. when a geeky, aspiring writer (bryan cranston) gets into a comic-book convention in the backwoods, he meets a plain but passionate woman (julianne moore) who falls for him. a fairly predictable plot, but cranston and moore get good mileage out of the characters, and the humor feels fresh. (kennedy) 100 minutes

the film is preceded by an audio commentary by creators david gordon green and mark romanek as well as a behind-the-scenes featurette. it also comes with a slipcover with new artwork by artist paul sharits, as well as a cd featuring six songs, including the score by radiohead's jonny greenwood.

while we don't have much experience flying in space, we've been fascinated by the great unknown. stories of explorers like lewis and clark have held our interest for generations. in star trek we encountered aliens who had left our world, then came back and helped us survive. as we look for new worlds to explore, scientists like neil degrasse tyson have argued that we've become complacent in our space pursuits. space is not a frontier, and we're not doing enough to ensure that future generations will have the same opportunities as we have now. 84d34552a1
