Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Node.js >= 18
  • npm >= 9
  • Docker (for MongoDB/Redis in development)

Installation

npm install

Running the App

npm run start:dev

Running Tests

npm run test
npm run test:cov

npm run lint

Build

npm run build

Example Module

The Example module demonstrates a typical CRUD microservice using gRPC. See src/modules/example/ for implementation details.

gRPC

  • Proto files are located in src/modules/example/proto/.
  • The ExampleController exposes gRPC endpoints for CRUD operations.

CI/CD

  • GitHub Actions workflow: .github/workflows/ci.yml
  • Runs build, lint, and test jobs on push and PRs.
  • No SonarCloud or Snyk integration.
