Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Accountant website template with a sample monthly report

Meant for a local bookkeeping and tax practice serving sole traders and small firms. Its pitch is one page of figures each month, and the site shows one: a sample report with profit, cash and tax set aside, where the bar heights come from <data value> elements. Next come three services (bookkeeping, tax returns, payroll), a three-step switching guide, a twelve-month UK tax-year track that ticks off deadlines, three client stories, four accountants, questions and three fixed monthly plans drawn as blocks as tall as their price. Orange, lavender and sage slabs with hairlines and oversized type recall an annual report. One index.html, no bundler; GSAP, ScrollTrigger and Lenis come in over a CDN. Produced by 8B, an AI website builder.

Get a copy

npm pack @8bsite/accountant-website-template
tar -xzf 8bsite-accountant-website-template-1.0.0.tgz

Look in package/ afterwards. Degit is the other route: npx degit 8bsite/accountant-website-template my-practice, or take a ZIP from GitHub. If npm installed it, move the files out of node_modules/@8bsite/accountant-website-template/ before editing.

Customising through an agent

Let Claude Code, Cursor or Codex read AGENTS.md first. Prepare plan names and monthly fees, VAT and payroll terms, address and hours, your team and client quotes you may publish. Tax dates follow UK rules for 2026 to 2027; elsewhere you need your own calendar. The bakery report, clients and staff are fictional, so the agent asks for real figures and keeps each <data value> equal to the visible number. Say chartered only if it is true. The enquiry form checks fields and shows a status line but delivers nothing until a form service is attached.

Use my fees and team below, swap the sample report for a generic retail client, and drop the plan for companies with staff.
