Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Community website template: members' club in one HTML file

A members' house, a women's network or a lifestyle collective can use this page as its front door. After a split wordmark and a short manifesto it lays out seven days of programme, four clubs, a moodboard, a shop with four products, three journal notes, a founder's letter, three membership tiers on cards that flip, questions and a contact form. Warm pinks, oxblood and powder blue meet a two-weight serif and photos cut into arches, and on scroll a row of seven coloured arches fills with pictures of the week. Animation runs on GSAP, ScrollTrigger and Lenis fetched over a CDN; everything else is inline in a single index.html. A free release by 8B, an AI website builder.

Install or download

Pull the tarball without adding a dependency:

The files appear in package/. With degit: npx degit 8bsite/community-website-template my-club; GitHub also offers a ZIP. A regular install leaves them in node_modules/@8bsite/community-website-template/, so copy them out before editing.

Adapting it in an AI coding tool

In Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, ask the agent to study AGENTS.md before it touches the HTML: some sections must stay neighbours for animations that cross between them. Then give it your club's name and city, the real weekly schedule, tier prices and perks, and the founder's note. The founder, member count, prices and address are invented, and the agent should ask for yours. Shop buttons and journal links lead nowhere yet, and the form validates without sending, so plan a form service and a checkout, or drop those parts.

Adapt this for our running club in Leeds. List the facts you need from me and remove the shop.
