Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Design studio website template in plain HTML

Built for a brand, product or digital agency that wants its portfolio and its way of working on one scrolling page. After a one-word greeting come five case studies sliding along a track, a turning wheel of six long-standing clients, five services, a four-step process, a studio collage with open roles, four journal stories, a FAQ and a contact form, with a newsletter field in the footer. The palette stays black and white with a single violet accent; headings close on a violet dot, and a round photo drifts from the greeting into the next heading. Everything lives in one index.html, and the motion comes from GSAP, ScrollTrigger and Lenis loaded over a CDN, so there is nothing to compile. The template comes from 8B, an AI website builder.

A scrolling demo plus notes on every block: https://8b.com/templates/onda/

Install or download

npm pack @8bsite/design-studio-website-template
tar -xzf 8bsite-design-studio-website-template-1.0.0.tgz

The tarball unpacks into package/. Prefer to skip npm? npx degit 8bsite/design-studio-website-template studio-site pulls the same files from GitHub. A copy added through npm install lands in node_modules/@8bsite/design-studio-website-template/, which is no place to edit; copy the folder into your own project first.

Rewriting it with an AI agent

Whichever agent you use, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, its first read should be AGENTS.md, which names the classes the scroll scenes depend on and lists every demo fact. Supply your own case studies with real outcomes, the clients you keep, your services, office cities and how a project starts. Studio names, client results, headcount and addresses on the page are made up, so the agent should ask rather than fill gaps. Both forms only validate in the browser and show a status message; wire them to Formspree, Netlify Forms or a similar service.

Read AGENTS.md. Swap the demo cases for the three projects in cases.txt, keep the violet dot on every heading, and ask me for anything missing.
