Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Event website template for a festival or fan weekend

Meant for a two-day festival, a concert series or a fan convention that needs its whole programme on a single page. The opening screen turns into round windows that hold the day's timetable, followed by five headline acts, a dance crew battle, four venue zones on a plan, a beauty lab with session times, a street food board, a partner section with audience shares, a photo wall, three ticket passes, a FAQ and contact details. Slides alternate deep crimson, red, near-black and white under huge capitals, and the type warms from dim to glowing as you scroll. It is a single index.html with no build step; GSAP, ScrollTrigger and Lenis arrive from a CDN at load time. A template by 8B, an AI website builder.

Getting the files

npm pack @8bsite/event-website-template
tar -xzf 8bsite-event-website-template-1.0.0.tgz

Look in package/ once tar finishes. Or fetch straight from the repository with npx degit 8bsite/event-website-template my-festival. When installed as a dependency it sits in node_modules/@8bsite/event-website-template/; lift it out of there before you start editing, because a later npm install can replace it.

Handing it to Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

AGENTS.md comes before any edit. After that, tell the agent your dates, venue and transport notes, acts with stages and set times, zone hours, pass prices and policies such as refunds and age limits. Every date, act, price and contact in the demo is invented, and the agent should come back to you for real ones instead of guessing. There is no form on this page: ticket buttons point to the passes or the contact block, and the battle and partner buttons open email, so link them to your ticket shop and sign-up pages. The photo wall shows fixed images and collects nothing.

Follow AGENTS.md. Our event runs 6 and 7 September; acts and times are in lineup.csv. Link each pass to our ticket shop and ask before changing anything else.
