Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@actview/lucide

v0.0.1

Published

A Lucide icon library package for ActView applications.

Readme

@actview/lucide

Lucide icon library adapter for ActView.

Installation

pnpm add @actview/lucide actview @actview/jsx
pnpm add -D @actview/plugin-vite
npm install @actview/lucide actview @actview/jsx
npm install -D @actview/plugin-vite

Configure jsxImportSource and the Vite plugin in your ActView app:

// tsconfig.json
{
  "compilerOptions": {
    "jsx": "react-jsx",
    "jsxImportSource": "@actview/jsx"
  }
}
// vite.config.ts
import { actviewPlugin } from '@actview/plugin-vite';

export default {
  plugins: [actviewPlugin()],
};

Usage

With @actview/plugin-vite, write components as regular functions; the plugin automatically converts them to defineComponent:

import { createApp } from 'actview';
import { Camera, LucideProvider } from '@actview/lucide';

function App() {
  return (
    <LucideProvider size={32} color="red">
      <Camera class="my-icon" aria-label="Camera" />
    </LucideProvider>
  );
}

createApp(App).mount('#app');

Imports

// Main entry
import { Camera, House } from '@actview/lucide';

// Namespace
import * as icons from '@actview/lucide/icons';

// Deep import
import Camera from '@actview/lucide/icons/camera';

// Custom icons
import { createLucideIcon } from '@actview/lucide';
import type { IconNode } from '@actview/lucide';

Development

pnpm --filter @actview/lucide build # generate icons, JS and type declarations
pnpm --filter @actview/lucide test # generate icons and run tests

Components and hooks

| Export | Description | | --- | --- | | Icon | Core renderer. Pass iconNode manually. | | createLucideIcon(name, iconNode) | Create an icon component. | | LucideProvider | Provide default size, color, strokeWidth, absoluteStrokeWidth, and class. | | useLucideContext() | Read the injected computed context. Only callable during setup. |

ActView-specific notes

  • Every icon is already wrapped by defineComponent. Consumers do not need @actview/plugin-babel to use these icons.
  • ref on an icon component points to the component instance, following ActView component semantics. ActView component refs are not forwarded to the underlying svg element; use DOM queries or a wrapper element if you need the SVG node itself.
  • ActView writes SVG props with setAttribute using the exact prop key. This package translates common camelCase SVG props (strokeWidth, strokeLinecap, etc.) to their real SVG attribute names.
  • useLucideContext() returns a computed ref because ActView component setups run once. Read .value inside the render function to stay reactive.
  • ActView provide/inject does not currently propagate through renderToString; SSR output falls back to Lucide defaults.
  • ActView's renderer maintains a fixed SVG tag list. SVG title children are not currently created in the SVG namespace; prefer aria-label, aria-labelledby, or a desc child for accessible SVG text.
