Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Shared overlay interaction kernel that coordinates stacking, focus, pointer, and scroll policies across Affino primitives.

Installation

pnpm add @affino/overlay-kernel

What it provides

Overlay manager with deterministic stack ordering.
Close/open request routing (escape, pointer outside, owner-close, programmatic).
Ownership model for nested overlays (ownerId).
Focus/scroll policy metadata per overlay entry.
Livewire/DOM observer helpers used by adapter runtimes.

Core API (high-level)

createOverlayManager()
getDocumentOverlayManager(document)
createOverlayIntegration(...)
bindLivewireHooks(...)
ensureDocumentObserver(...)
registerDocumentScrollLock(...) / releaseDocumentScrollLock(...)

Guardrails

Keep one overlay manager per document scope.
Use stable overlay ids.
Ensure destroy() is called for every integration on teardown.
Route close reasons through the manager for consistent stack behavior.
