Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

🎯 Introduction

@agentic-robotics/self-learning is a production-ready optimization framework that enables robotic systems to learn and improve autonomously. Built on cutting-edge algorithms (PSO, NSGA-II, Evolutionary Strategies) and integrated with AI-powered swarm intelligence via OpenRouter, it provides a complete solution for continuous optimization.

Why Self-Learning Robotics?

Traditional robotics systems are static—they perform exactly as programmed. Self-learning systems adapt and improve over time:

  • 📈 Continuous Improvement: Learn from every execution
  • 🎯 Optimal Performance: Discover best configurations automatically
  • 🧠 AI-Powered: Leverage multiple AI models for exploration
  • 🔄 Adaptive: Adjust to changing conditions and environments
  • 📊 Data-Driven: Make decisions based on historical performance

What Makes This Unique?

First-of-its-kind self-learning framework specifically designed for robotics 🤖 Multi-Algorithm: PSO, NSGA-II, Evolutionary Strategies in one package 🌊 AI Swarms: Integrate DeepSeek, Gemini, Claude, and GPT-4 💾 Persistent Memory: Learn across sessions with memory bank ⚡ Production Ready: TypeScript, tested, documented, and CLI-enabled

📦 Installation

NPM

npm install @agentic-robotics/self-learning

Global Installation (for CLI)

npm install -g @agentic-robotics/self-learning

Requirements

  • Node.js: >= 18.0.0
  • TypeScript: >= 5.7.0 (for development)
  • OpenRouter API Key: For AI swarm features (optional)

🚀 Quick Start

1. Install the Package

npm install @agentic-robotics/self-learning

2. Run Interactive Mode

npx agentic-learn interactive

3. Or Use Programmatically

import { BenchmarkOptimizer } from '@agentic-robotics/self-learning';

const config = {
  name: 'My First Optimization',
  parameters: { speed: 1.0, lookAhead: 0.5 },
  constraints: {
    speed: [0.1, 2.0],
    lookAhead: [0.1, 3.0]
  }
};

const optimizer = new BenchmarkOptimizer(config, 12, 10);
await optimizer.optimize();

📚 Tutorials

Tutorial 1: Your First Optimization (10 minutes)

Step 1: Create Your Project

mkdir my-robot-optimizer && cd my-robot-optimizer
npm init -y
npm install @agentic-robotics/self-learning

Step 2: Create Optimization Script

// optimize.js
import { BenchmarkOptimizer } from '@agentic-robotics/self-learning';

const config = {
  name: 'Robot Navigation',
  parameters: { speed: 1.0, lookAhead: 1.0, turnRate: 0.5 },
  constraints: {
    speed: [0.5, 2.0],
    lookAhead: [0.5, 3.0],
    turnRate: [0.1, 1.0]
  }
};

const optimizer = new BenchmarkOptimizer(config, 12, 10);
await optimizer.optimize();

Step 3: Run Optimization

node optimize.js

Expected Output:

Best Configuration:
- speed: 1.247
- lookAhead: 2.143
