Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@agentixdev/core

v0.2.0

Published

Typed operations, outcomes, effects, events, and application dispatch for Agentix.

Readme

@agentixdev/core

Schemas, operation descriptors, ports, events, and the dispatch runtime of the Agentix TypeScript framework. One feature is one file: every operation declares its input/output schemas, typed errors (with HTTP status), permissions, effects, and route in one place, and the application derives everything else.

npm install @agentixdev/core

Agentix is research-stage, ESM-only, and pre-1.0.

Example

import { command, createApplication, feature, port, query, s } from "@agentixdev/core";

const Note = s.object({
  id: s.string({ min: 1 }),
  title: s.string({ min: 1, trim: true }),
  body: s.string(),
});

const NoteStorage = port.store("noteStorage", Note);

const notes = feature("notes", {
  operations: {
    create: command({
      input: Note,
      output: Note,
      errors: { NOTE_ALREADY_EXISTS: { http: 409, details: { id: s.string() } } },
      http: { method: "POST", path: "/notes", status: 201 },
      effects: { load: NoteStorage.get, save: NoteStorage.save },
      async execute({ input, effects, fail }) {
        if (await effects.load(input.id)) return fail("NOTE_ALREADY_EXISTS", { id: input.id });
        return effects.save(input);
      },
    }),
    get: query({
      input: s.object({ id: s.string({ min: 1 }) }),
      output: Note,
      errors: { NOTE_NOT_FOUND: { http: 404, details: { id: s.string() } } },
      http: { method: "GET", path: "/notes/:id" },
      effects: { load: NoteStorage.get },
      async execute({ input, effects, fail }) {
        return (await effects.load(input.id)) ?? fail("NOTE_NOT_FOUND", { id: input.id });
      },
    }),
  },
});

const app = createApplication({
  features: [notes],
  adapters: [NoteStorage.memory()],
});

const outcome = await app.call("notes.create", { id: "n1", title: "First", body: "" });
// { ok: true, value: { id: "n1", title: "First", body: "" } }
// duplicate id => { ok: false, error: { code: "NOTE_ALREADY_EXISTS", details: { id: "n1" } } }

app.dispatch(id, { input, principal?, trace? }) exposes the full three-way result (completed outcome + events, rejected for permission/validation, fault for defects). Startup validates duplicate ids, adapter coverage for every declared effect, query purity, and HTTP route conflicts. Production mode keeps every external boundary validated and skips only interior double-checks.
