Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Bounded Fetch-compatible HTTP transport for signed Agentplat Mesh envelopes.

@agentplat/mesh-http

Bounded, Fetch-compatible HTTP transport for already signed Agentplat Mesh envelopes. Importing or constructing a client/handler starts no server, performs no discovery and opens no network connection.

Installation (developer preview)

Install the coordinated preview explicitly:

npm install @agentplat/mesh-http@next

Keep all @agentplat/* packages on the same release version. npm's default latest tag can point to an older preview. See the release channels for distribution status and version selection.

import {
  createMeshHttpClient,
  createMeshHttpHandler,
} from "@agentplat/mesh-http";

const handler = createMeshHttpHandler({
  target: {
    tenantId: "tenant-a",
    meshId: "mesh-a",
    peerId: "peer-b",
    instanceId: "peer-b-1",
  },
  authenticate: (request) =>
    request.headers.get("authorization") === process.env.MESH_CHANNEL_TOKEN,
  accept: async (envelope) => {
    const receipt = await durableRepository.receive({ scope, envelope });
    return { accepted: true, duplicate: receipt.duplicate };
  },
});

const client = createMeshHttpClient({
  allowedSchemes: ["https:"],
  resolveEndpoint: ({ peerId }) => ({
    url: configuredPeerUrls[peerId],
    headers: { authorization: `Bearer ${channelToken}` },
  }),
});

await client.deliver({ envelope: signedEnvelope });

The default handler and client path is /agentplat/mesh/v1/envelopes. A v0 compatibility endpoint must explicitly bind both wireVersion: 0 and /agentplat/mesh/v0/envelopes; path probing and version fallback are refused. Each handler strictly parses its bound version and acknowledges it only after the injected acceptor returns success. It does not verify signatures or admission; the durable worker must use the normal Mesh inbound boundary before state mutation.

First receipt and exact duplicate receipt are deliberately indistinguishable to the remote sender. Detailed signature, key, replay, Trust, policy and database errors must remain in bounded local diagnostics.

No CORS headers or OPTIONS handling are enabled by default. Browser-facing deployments may inject an exact construction-bound cors policy with explicit HTTP(S) origins, lowercase request headers and a bounded preflight age. Wildcard origins and envelope-supplied origins are not accepted.

Delivery is at least once. The client performs one attempt, never follows redirects, and returns a coarse receipt. Retry scheduling belongs to the durable outbox worker, which must retry the exact same signed envelope.

createMeshHttpDurableOutboxDeliver({ client }) adapts that single HTTP attempt to MeshDurableOutboxDeliver: accepted receipts settle as delivered, permanent rejections settle as rejected, and retryable receipts preserve their bounded retryAfterMs. Topic deliveries preserve the durable record's exact targetPeerId; the signed envelope is never modified.
