Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Drive an AI2Web site's advertised AP2 (Agent Payments Protocol) merchant transport with approval-gated payment.

@ai2web/ap2-adapter

Drive an AI2Web site's advertised AP2 (Agent Payments Protocol, Google) merchant transport. AP2 is mandate-based: the merchant signs a Cart Mandate guaranteeing the price for a buyer agent's Intent Mandate, then settles a user-signed Payment Mandate. This adapter presents the merchant vocabulary (fetch the agent card, fetch the JWKS, create a cart, settle payment) and routes it through the shared guarded executor in @ai2web/core, so the payment step (settle_payment) is high-risk and always previews for approval before any charge (RFC-0006 section 3).

AI2Web does not define payment; it advertises which payment transport a site supports and lets the agent use it.

Install

npm install @ai2web/ap2-adapter @ai2web/core

Use

import { manifestToAp2, buildIntentMandate, runAp2Operation } from "@ai2web/ap2-adapter";
import { discover } from "@ai2web/core";

const { manifest } = await discover("https://some-ai2web-store.com");

// Present the AP2 operations (only if the site advertises transports.ap2)
const adapter = manifestToAp2(manifest);

// Ask the merchant to price and sign a cart for an intent
const intent = buildIntentMandate({ description: "a red basketball shoe", skus: ["SHOE-RED-42"] });
const cartMandate = await runAp2Operation(manifest, "create_cart", intent);

// After the buyer's credentials provider produces a Payment Mandate, settle it.
// settle_payment is approval-gated: it returns a preview until the user approves.
const receipt = await runAp2Operation(manifest, "settle_payment", { payment_mandate: paymentMandate });

Verify the Cart Mandate's merchant_authorization JWT against the merchant's published keys with runAp2Operation(manifest, "get_jwks", {}).
