Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Lore CLI — institutional memory for BMAD-driven AI development

Readme

@alpharages/lore

CLI for Lore — institutional memory for AI-driven development teams.

Lore captures lessons from code reviews and developer sessions, embeds them semantically, and surfaces the right ones to AI agents before each task — so the same mistake is never explained twice.

This CLI wires a self-hosted Lore server into your local AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Windsurf, Cline, Continue, and more).

Requirements

Install

npm install -g @alpharages/lore
# or
npx @alpharages/lore <command>

Commands

lore init

Initialize a new project. Creates lore.yaml, CLAUDE.md, ops/constitution.md, and per-repo REPO_IDENTITY.md. Registers the project with the Lore server and prints an API key.

export LORE_ADMIN_SECRET=<your-admin-secret>
lore init

lore install

Reads lore.yaml and configures the local machine:

  • Interactive checkbox picker to select which AI tools to configure
  • Writes MCP entries for: Cursor, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Google Antigravity, Windsurf, Cline, Continue
  • Appends a Lore include to ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md
  • Installs post-commit / post-merge git hooks in declared repos
  • Records progress in ~/.lore/install-state.json for idempotency
lore install # interactive picker
lore install --ide cursor,claude-code # non-interactive, specific targets
lore install --ide all # configure every supported target
lore install --ide detected # configure only installed targets
lore install --force # clear state and redo everything

lore inbox

Fetch cross-project lesson suggestions and accept or reject them one-by-one.

export LORE_API_KEY=<your-project-api-key>
lore inbox

lore update

Check the running server version against the latest compatible Docker tag, show release notes, verify migration compatibility, and upgrade in place.

lore update

lore.yaml

A lore.yaml at the project root describes your workspace. lore init generates this for you.

server: https://your-lore-server.example.com

  - typescript
  - postgres

  - name: api
