Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Ambiten adapter for GraphQL

Readme

Overview

@ambiten/adapter-graphql connects GraphQL execution to the Ambiten runtime.

The adapter establishes execution boundaries for queries, mutations, and subscriptions so runtime context remains available throughout resolver execution. Tenant information, request metadata, transactions, logging, instrumentation, and runtime services can then participate consistently across GraphQL operations.

The adapter does not replace GraphQL. It allows GraphQL execution to participate fully in the Ambiten runtime model.

Installation

npm install @ambiten/adapter-graphql

If you are starting a new application, installing the core runtime is also recommended:

npm install @ambiten/core @ambiten/adapter-graphql

Quick Start

import {
  AmbitenBootstrapFactory
} from "@ambiten/core";

import {
  createGraphQLAdapter
} from "@ambiten/adapter-graphql";

const adapter = createGraphQLAdapter();

const bootstrap =
  await AmbitenBootstrapFactory.create({
    adapter
  });

Once installed, GraphQL operations automatically participate in the Ambiten execution model.

What the Adapter Provides

The adapter acts as the bridge between GraphQL execution and the runtime.

It can establish request-scoped context, initialize tenant boundaries, propagate request metadata, participate in transaction-aware execution flows, and expose runtime state to resolvers, services, and models.

This allows resolver code to remain focused on business logic while execution concerns remain coordinated by the runtime.

Runtime Flow

        ↓

MongoDB

The adapter creates the execution boundary. The runtime then carries execution state throughout the remainder of the operation lifecycle.

Resolver Context

GraphQL applications often require execution state to flow across multiple resolver layers.

The adapter automatically makes runtime context available throughout resolver execution so tenant information, request metadata, transactions, logging, and instrumentation remain consistent regardless of how deeply nested a resolver chain becomes.

Query
  ↓

  ↓
Nested Resolver
  ↓
Service
  ↓
Model

Execution context remains attached throughout the entire flow.

Multi-Tenancy

When multi-tenancy is enabled, tenant information can be resolved during GraphQL execution and made available throughout the active runtime context.

GraphQL Request
        ↓
Tenant Resolution
        ↓
AmbitenContext
        ↓
Tenant-Aware Execution

This allows models and services to operate against the correct tenant boundary without manually passing tenant identifiers between resolvers.

Subscriptions

The adapter also supports runtime-aware subscription execution.

Subscription events can participate in the same execution model used by queries and mutations, allowing tenant information, instrumentation, logging, and runtime metadata to remain consistent across real-time GraphQL workflows.
