Connect AnrakLegal — India's AI legal platform — to any local MCP client (Hermes, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Continue, …) over stdio.

This is a thin bridge: your MCP client launches it as a subprocess, and it forwards every request over HTTPS to your hosted AnrakLegal connector (/token/{token}/mcp). You get the full AnrakLegal tool suite — case law search, statutes, paralegal case management, contracts, validation, and more — with no SDK-version requirements on your machine.

Why a bridge?

Pointing a client straight at the connector URL needs the client's HTTP/streamable-HTTP MCP transport, which only exists in newer MCP SDKs (e.g. Python mcp ≥ 1.8.0). Older local installs fail with:

requires HTTP transport but mcp.client.streamable_http is not available

The stdio transport is universal — every MCP client supports a command:-launched server. This bridge terminates stdio locally and speaks HTTPS to AnrakLegal, so it works regardless of your client's MCP version.

Setup

1. Get your connector link at https://anrak.legal/connectors — it looks like https://anrak.legal/token/<your-token>/mcp.
2. Add the bridge to your client config (examples below). It runs via npx, so there's nothing to install — you just need Node.js 18+.

Already on a modern client? (no bridge needed)

If your client's MCP SDK supports HTTP transport (Python mcp ≥ 1.8.0, claude.ai, recent Cursor), you can skip the bridge and register the connector URL directly:
