Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Prisma-backed durable session memory store for Anvia.

Readme

@anvia/memory-prisma

Prisma-backed durable session memory store for Anvia agents.

Use this package when an application already uses Prisma and wants Anvia session memory to live in the same database and migration workflow.

Installation

pnpm add @anvia/memory-prisma @anvia/core @prisma/client

In this monorepo, the package is available through the workspace:

pnpm --filter @anvia/memory-prisma build

Generate Prisma models

Run the init command from the application root:

npx @anvia/memory-prisma init

The command is a dry run by default. To write the generated Prisma model file:

npx @anvia/memory-prisma init --write

By default it writes prisma/models/anvia-memory.prisma. If you need to append to an existing schema.prisma, pass the explicit append flag:

npx @anvia/memory-prisma init --write --append-to-schema

The append path prints a warning before writing because it modifies the existing Prisma schema file.

After writing schema changes, run:

npx prisma validate
npx prisma migrate dev --name add_anvia_memory

Usage

import { AgentBuilder } from "@anvia/core";
import { createPrismaMemoryStore } from "@anvia/memory-prisma";
import { prisma } from "./db";

const memory = createPrismaMemoryStore(prisma, {
  scope: {
    metadataKeys: ["tenantId"],
  },
});

const agent = new AgentBuilder("support", model)
  .memory(memory, { savePolicy: "turn" })
  .build();

await agent
  .session("thread_123", {
    userId: "user_456",
    metadata: { tenantId: "tenant_789" },
  })
  .prompt("Where is my order?")
  .send();

scope defines the database key for one memory thread. By default the key includes sessionId and userId; metadataKeys: ["tenantId"] also includes metadata.tenantId, which isolates memory across tenants or workspaces. Scope is storage isolation, not authorization.

Custom delegates

The default client path expects Prisma delegates named agentMemorySession, agentMemoryMessage, and agentMemoryError. If your app uses custom model names, pass delegates explicitly:

const memory = PrismaMemoryStore.fromDelegates({
  sessions: prisma.customMemorySession,
  messages: prisma.customMemoryMessage,
  errors: prisma.customMemoryError,
  transaction: (operation, options) =>
    prisma.$transaction(
      (tx) =>
        operation({
          sessions: tx.customMemorySession,
          messages: tx.customMemoryMessage,
          errors: tx.customMemoryError,
          transaction: async (nested) => nested({
            sessions: tx.customMemorySession,
            messages: tx.customMemoryMessage,
            errors: tx.customMemoryError,
            transaction: async () => {
              throw new Error("Nested transactions are not supported.");
            },
          }),
        }),
      options,
    ),
});

Development

pnpm --filter @anvia/memory-prisma typecheck
pnpm --filter @anvia/memory-prisma test
pnpm --filter @anvia/memory-prisma build
