Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A utility function for checking if a React node is empty.

Installation

Recommended installation with pnpm:

isEmptyReactNode(node: React.ReactNode): boolean

Checks if a React node is empty.

Parameters

  • node: React node, can be any valid React node type.

Return Value

  • boolean: Returns true if the node is empty, otherwise returns false.

Definition of Empty Node

The following cases are considered empty nodes:

  • null
  • undefined
  • false
  • Empty array []
  • Array with all empty children
  • React Fragment with no children <></>

The following cases are considered non-empty nodes:

  • React element with no children <div />
  • React element with children <div>Content</div>
  • React Fragment with children <><div>Content</div></>
  • React array with children [<div>Content</div>]
  • Text node without tags 'Hello'
