Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@api-emulator/lucent

Lucent provides session replay SDK APIs for public-key validation, browser replay ingestion, and session capture workflows.

Use this emulator for local tests, CI, and offline agent runs. It keeps your tests separate from the production API.

Start the emulator

  1. Install the package.
npm install @api-emulator/lucent
  1. From this registry, start the emulator.
npx -p api-emulator api --plugin ./providers/@lucent/api-emulator.mjs --service lucent

The emulator uses the local URL that api-emulator prints. Set your client base URL to this local URL.

Supported API

  • POST /api/sdk/init
  • POST /api/sdk/replay
  • GET /api/sdk/replays
  • GET /inspect/contract
  • GET /inspect/state

Coverage

  • Level: smoke-only
  • Meaning: A smoke test starts the emulator and checks its main behavior.
  • Evidence: a direct smoke test exists, but a conformance manifest does not exist.

Credentials

Use a fixed bearer token or API key in each test. The emulator does not send these credentials to the provider.

Test data

Add repeatable test data to the provider configuration.

lucent:
  # Add provider-specific seed state here.
