Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

MakePay provider for Coin Moebius — hosted crypto checkout with direct self-custody wallet settlement.

MakePay creates a hosted payment link, the buyer pays on MakePay's branded checkout page (70+ cryptocurrencies), and funds settle straight to the merchant's own wallet — MakePay never custodies them. A signed webhook reports the result back to your server.

Install

npm install @aquarian-metals/coin-moebius-makepay @aquarian-metals/coin-moebius-core

Client (browser)

createMakepayProvider(config) returns a PaymentProvider registered as id: 'makepay'. It POSTs to your own checkout endpoint, receives { url } (MakePay's hosted checkout publicUrl), fires onPending, and redirects the buyer there.

import { createMakepayProvider } from '@aquarian-metals/coin-moebius-makepay';
import { createPaymentManager } from '@aquarian-metals/coin-moebius-core';

const makepay = createMakepayProvider({ checkoutEndpoint: '/api/checkout/makepay' });
const manager = createPaymentManager({ providers: [makepay] });

await manager.initiate({ productId: 'pro', amount: 9.99, currency: 'USD' });

Your checkout endpoint is responsible for calling MakePay's payment-links API with your API keys (server-side only) and returning the resulting publicUrl as { url }.

Server (Node / Workers)

createMakepayVerifier({ webhookSecret }) verifies the signed webhook and returns a normalized WebhookEvent. The X-MakePay-Signature header carries t=<unixSeconds>,v1=<hexSignature>; the signature is the hex HMAC-SHA256 of `${t}.${rawBody}` keyed by your webhook secret, with a 300-second replay window by default.

import { createMakepayVerifier } from '@aquarian-metals/coin-moebius-makepay/server';
import { asPayment } from '@aquarian-metals/coin-moebius-core';

const verify = createMakepayVerifier({ webhookSecret: process.env.MAKEPAY_WEBHOOK_SECRET! });

// `rawBody` MUST be the exact request text MakePay signed — not a re-serialized object.
const event = await verify(rawBody, request.headers);
const payment = asPayment(event);
if (payment?.status === 'success') {
  // fulfil — the merchant order id is on payment.metadata.merchantOrderId
}

computeMakepaySignature(timestamp, rawBody, secret) and parseMakepaySignatureHeader(header) are exported for callers that want to verify without the registry.

Always deduplicate deliveries by the payment id (paymentLink.uid); the signed timestamp bounds but does not eliminate replays.
