Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Cloudflare provider for ArchLex architecture diagrams

Readme

@archlex/cloudflare

Cloudflare product catalog and official SVG artwork for ArchLex. Register cloudflareProvider() with createArchLex to author Cloudflare-only diagrams or use qualified resources such as cloudflare.workers alongside AWS, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes resources. These resources provide recognition and artwork; validation checks explicit containment without inferring runtime networking.

Resources can appear at the root or within an account scope. Icons are bundled, so rendering and package imports require no network requests. Each glyph sits on a white backing in both themes, with its original viewBox and path geometry retained. Monochrome ink is recolored to #f6821f.

Commands

From the repository root:

pnpm --filter @archlex/cloudflare build
pnpm --filter @archlex/cloudflare typecheck
pnpm --filter @archlex/cloudflare test
pnpm --filter @archlex/cloudflare icons:generate
pnpm --filter @archlex/cloudflare icons:check
pnpm validate:catalog

Generation consumes local revision-pinned SVG inputs. It verifies source hashes, rejects unsafe SVG and unmapped assets, and writes deterministic fragments. icons:check reports drift without rewriting and enforces the complete 92-resource contract, rejecting missing or unexpected resources even when their assets and pins are removed together. pnpm validate:catalog also checks that contract. An upstream revision update is a separate reviewed source-sync operation; ordinary generation does not download.

Artwork and licenses

Source: Cloudflare, Inc. and contributors to the Cloudflare documentation icon repository, pinned to 48f601bf4293fa9032505f858656d0db5b559131.

Software is MIT licensed (LICENSE). Artwork is CC BY 4.0 (LICENSE-ARTWORK), with attribution, source references, and modifications recorded in NOTICE.md and in exported icon descriptions. Sanitization, the white backing, and the #f6821f ink recolor are technical changes. Cloudflare names and trademarks remain with their owners; this community provider is not endorsed by Cloudflare.

Inherited SVG presentation settings are carried by an inner group so exported symbols preserve fill-none and stroke behavior after removing the SVG viewport. Monochrome ink on that group is #f6821f.

Resources

Every resource also resolves as cloudflare.<id>. Categories reuse the existing ArchLex catalog: ai maps to ai-ml, delivery to networking, governance to management, and observability to monitoring.

Containment validation

CLOUDFLARE-CONTAINMENT-001 reports recognized Cloudflare resources inside a region, VPC, subnet, cluster or namespace, including ancestors outside a nested account. Move the managed resource to document root or a logical account and connect it to origin workloads in their native scopes. Presentation groups are valid. Normal mode emits a warning, strict an error, and off skips this rule.

For example, region origin { api: cloudflare.workers } is invalid placement; account logical { api: cloudflare.workers } is valid. Catalog recognition does not verify connectivity, DNS records, policy effectiveness, selectors, origin health or failover. Represent cloudflared using a native origin workload, such as a Kubernetes Deployment, rather than placing the managed Tunnel there.

Distribution audit

Build and inspect the actual package before release:

pnpm --filter @archlex/cloudflare build
pnpm --dir packages/cloudflare pack --pack-destination /tmp/archlex-cloudflare-pack-review
node packages/cloudflare/scripts/audit-package.mjs /tmp/archlex-cloudflare-pack-review/archlex-cloudflare-0.0.0.tgz

Use the tarball's current version in the final command after versioning. This local audit imports the packed ESM export and checks all 92 canonical IDs, bundled SVG fragments and per-icon attribution, declaration exports, rewritten workspace dependencies, license texts and notices. Test declarations, build metadata, development credentials and raw source assets are excluded. Original SVG inputs remain in the repository; the npm distribution contains sanitized fragments in dist/index.js. No runtime artwork download is required.

The package declares MIT AND CC-BY-4.0: MIT covers ArchLex software and CC BY 4.0 covers the included artwork. Retain the notice and artwork attribution when redistributing. The recorded distribution basis does not grant trademark rights or imply Cloudflare endorsement. Packing and auditing do not publish a release.
