Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

MCP server for the team lead agent — spawn teammates, create tasks, coordinate work

Readme

@arvoretech/agent-teams-lead-mcp

MCP server for the team lead — spawn and coordinate multiple AI agent sessions working together as a team.

Inspired by Anthropic's agent teams for Claude Code, built as an editor-agnostic MCP layer that works with Kiro, Cursor, Claude Code, and OpenCode.

Tools

| Tool | Description | |------|-------------| | spawn_team | Create a team with an objective and list of teammates (each referencing an agent file) | | create_task | Add a task to the shared list with optional dependencies and exclusive file paths | | add_teammate | Add a new teammate to an active team | | remove_teammate | Remove a teammate and stop their process | | team_status | Check team progress, task states, and unread messages | | send_message | Send a message to a specific teammate or broadcast to all | | wait_for_team | Block until all tasks are resolved or all teammates finish | | read_artifact | Read an output published by a teammate |

How It Works

The lead MCP spawns teammates as CLI processes (e.g., kiro-cli, claude, opencode). Each teammate gets the agent-teams-teammate MCP injected automatically. Coordination happens through shared JSON files on disk:

  • tasks.json — shared task list with dependencies and exclusive file paths
  • messages.json — inter-agent messaging (direct, broadcast, or to lead)
  • artifacts.json — outputs published by teammates linked to tasks
  • team.log — audit log of all teammate activity

All state lives in .agent-teams/ at the workspace root.

Configuration

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "agent-teams-lead": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@arvoretech/agent-teams-lead-mcp"],
      "env": {
        "WORKSPACE_PATH": "/path/to/your/workspace"
      }
    }
  }
}

Environment Variables

| Variable | Required | Description | |----------|----------|-------------| | WORKSPACE_PATH | Yes | Absolute path to the workspace root |

Usage with Repo Hub

Add to your hub.yaml:

mcps:
  - name: agent-teams-lead
    package: "@arvoretech/agent-teams-lead-mcp"

Run hub generate — the orchestrator automatically receives team lead instructions when the MCP is detected.
