CLI tool to quickly bootstrap a modern Node.js + Express + MongoDB (Mongoose) boilerplate with ES Modules.

Quick Start

You can generate a new Express project inside any empty directory:

mkdir MyAPI
cd MyAPI
npm create @aryan_barbate/express-starter

Or using npx:

npx @aryan_barbate/create-express-starter

The CLI will automatically:

• ✅ Generate folder structure (Database/, controllers/, models/, routes/)
• ✅ Generate package.json tailored to your folder name
• ✅ Generate .env and .gitignore
• ✅ Generate boilerplate code for MongoDB Atlas connection, sample controller, model, and routes
• ✅ Automatically install dependencies (express, mongoose, dotenv, nodemon)

After generation completes, start your server:

npm start
