Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Xyne Spaces Dark Mode CLI 🌑

A lightweight CLI tool for developers to force Dark Mode on the Xyne Spaces Electron app.

🚀 Installation

npm install -g @asrani-aman/xyne-dark-cli

🛠 Usage

  1. Launch the tool: Open your terminal and run:

    xynedark

  2. What happens next:

    • The script launches Xyne Spaces with the remote debugging port (8315) enabled.
    • It waits 5 seconds for the app to initialize.
    • It connects via Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) and injects a CSS override to invert the UI colors while preserving images/video.

⚙️ Prerequisites

  • macOS (Tested on M1/M2/Intel)
  • Xyne Spaces App installed in /Applications
  • Node.js installed

🐛 Troubleshooting

"Connection Refused": If the app doesn't turn dark, ensure no other instances of Xyne Spaces are running. The script tries to pkill old instances, but you might need to Quit (Cmd+Q) manually first.
