Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Low-level ASN.1 DER parsing and generic X.509 certificate field extraction. Zero cryptography, zero runtime dependencies, browser- and Node-safe.

Extracted from @attestto/verify as an independent building block so the same parser is shared by the verifier, the TLS auditor, and other tools.

What it does

  • Parse DER/ASN.1 structures (./asn1).
  • Extract generic X.509 fields from a certificate — subject, issuer, validity, SANs, key usage, policy OIDs, fingerprint — and from PKCS#7 SignedData containers (./certificate).

It performs no network calls, no cryptographic verification, and holds no national-PKI or trust-store logic — those live in the consuming packages.
