Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Optical compressor model (LA-2A class) — RMS detection, wide soft knee, program-dependent release

Models a Teletronix LA-2A-style electro-optical gain cell: RMS-detected soft-knee compression (~3:1, wide 10 dB knee) plus the T4 cell's signature — release time that slows the longer gain reduction persists. An internal ~3 s memory of time-under-reduction stretches release up to 7× on sustained material, then relaxes back toward the nominal value once the signal clears.

Use when: vocals, bass — smooth, program-dependent gain riding without pumping. Not for: fast peak-catching character — use fet. Aggressive drive-dependent ratio — use varimu.
