Deterministic, environment-neutral narrative runtime for Axiom VN.
Readme
@axiomvn/core
The narrative kernel of Axiom VN: addressable story nodes, declared variables, the session that folds commands into state, rollback, history, and structured inspection of all of it.
It is environment-neutral — it compiles without the DOM and runs in Node as readily as in a browser — and it stays narrative. It defines only what a visual novel with no world, no clock, and no custom mechanics still needs. Locations, calendars, inventories, relationships, and every game-specific mechanic live in layers above it or in a project's own TypeScript.
Every other @axiomvn package depends on this one, and it depends on none of them. Creators do not install it directly. A story reaches the runtime through @axiomvn/content, which is the only supported path from authored content to a runnable story, and a browser game reaches it through @axiomvn/game.
Entry points
@axiomvn/core— the public runtime surface.@axiomvn/core/internal— not a creator surface. It exposes the story builder and other privileged operations to the two engine packages that need them, and it is published only because those packages are published. It carries no compatibility promise, its contents may change in any release, and importing it from a project bypasses the validation the content boundary exists to perform.
