Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

v0.1.21

Published

Agent-first video production runtime, CLI, contracts, Remotion components, and local Web control center for AXMORF Studio.

Readme

New video Skills prefer local code-synthesized music: create validates and freezes original WAV/timeline, with one composition loop replacing Scene/template music while retaining effects. Prepared Scene-local beats never retime speech. Compatible library/file music remains available at Project creation, or can be explicitly disabled. Those tracks loop across content, excluding template bookends and lead/tail. Template music and Scene effects remain independent. Existing scopes are preserved; library/file composition music can be narrowed to content. Missing music is reported explicitly. The current source bundles five original loop masters under the commissioning user's permission for Workspace distribution and video BGM use. Other private user libraries remain outside the package.

The runtime, CLI, contracts, Remotion components, and local Web control center behind AXMORF Studio workspaces.

npm license

Recommended: let your agent create a workspace

Most users should use the companion initializer instead of installing this package directly. Give this sentence to a coding agent:

Follow the latest README at https://github.com/AXMORF/axmorf-studio to set up and validate a working local AXMORF Studio workspace at <absolute local path>; stop before video production.

Quick start:

npm create axmorf-studio@latest my-video -- --yes
cd my-video
npm run doctor
npm run dev

Public surface

  • @axmorf/studio — runtime metadata and workspace helpers
  • @axmorf/studio/contracts — supported versioned data contracts
  • @axmorf/studio/remotion — supported Remotion components and helpers
  • axmorf — the workspace CLI used by generated npm scripts

Package internals are not public API. A generated workspace owns its Projects, media, private configuration, artifacts, output, and Deliveries. Create, revise, recover, and produce through its npm scripts and Workspace-local Skill; do not reconstruct internal CLI commands.

The package also carries a policy-covered Workspace seed for shared media. axmorf bootstrap projects only its manifested bytes into reserved Workspace paths, generates the Resource Catalog, and refuses conflicting files or symlinks. The current seed includes a Mixkit cinematic opening impact excerpt, an eight-second Mixkit “Deep Urban” closing excerpt, an AXMORF mark SVG, 24 original AXMORF motion sound effects, including mouse clicks, press/release and scrolling cues, and five original loop masters: Neon Motion, Easy Day, Next Question, Sunlit Drive and Signal Sprint. The loop WAVs retain their original bytes and become automatic Project BGM candidates after bootstrap. Scenes select prebuilt effects from the Catalog and schedule them by event anchor or local frame; they do not synthesize audio during production. Selected template audio becomes Project-local during creation. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md for source and license details.

Requirements

  • Node.js 20.19 or newer
  • npm 10 or newer
  • the exact Remotion and React peer versions declared in package.json

This package does not vendor node_modules or Remotion. The creator installs the required third-party packages as exact ordinary npm dependencies and generates a consumer-owned lockfile. The creator and axmorf doctor are the capability gate for the current host.

Documentation

For production, prefer the current generated Workspace documents because they match the installed runtime version.

License

AXMORF Studio source in this package is licensed under Apache-2.0. Third-party dependencies retain their own licenses; see THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md and each installed package's metadata. Remotion is not relicensed by AXMORF Studio.

Authoring and host readiness

The creator prepares the pinned browser and checks a real tiny PNG render before reporting a ready Workspace. Browser preparation is serialized and bounded; doctor never silently downloads Chrome. New authoring begins with npm run project:create:context -- --project <storyId>, which returns a complete example and current public choices. Use the generated Workspace-local authoring and host-execution references for exact task execution and interruption recovery.

The runtime provides filmPlan, consecutive multi-Beat Scene ownership, authored-frame visual-only timelines, deterministic world/morph/semantic-time utilities and axmorf project preview. Drafts project verified artifacts into a frozen private view before final rendering; their receipts certify media integrity and leave creative assessment explicit. Existing Projects keep their authored grouping and delivered bytes until an explicit revision. axmorf reference analyze --input public/<reference.mp4> writes bounded cut-refinement brackets, image translation/scale estimates, timestamped color frames and a local review page. Agent camera/semantic interpretations remain separate from these measurements. Analysis neither admits media into a Project nor certifies every cut or creative quality. Formal and draft video export share lossless PCM mixing and one AAC-to-MP4 encoding step, retaining encoder priming metadata and the original H.264 frames. Requested mono/stereo is applied during that single encode. Published 0.1.17 adds authored-frame visual content, licensed sound discovery, optional shared SVG continuity, public action timing and bound pre-commit Scene previews. It also adds narrow revisions for immutable template playback windows and existing music gain/envelopes. Inspect the installed public schemas and local instructions before use. Technical validation does not certify aesthetics, complete playback review or the subjective mix. Other user-local music and private Library attachments remain outside the shared seed.
