Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

OpenCode integration for bapm

Readme

@b-apm/integration-opencode

UNSTABLE: Early public release. APIs and on-disk layouts may change without a major bump. Not production-ready.

Minimal OpenCode host for bapm (detect, materialize skills/agents/commands, MCP configure, compile).

Detection vs forced target

| Mode | When active | Creates roots? | | -------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Auto-detect | .opencode/ directory or opencode.json / opencode.jsonc at project root | Only when materialize / configureMcp runs after a positive detect | | Forced (--target opencode) | Explicit CLI/core forced target id, even if detect is false | MAY mkdir registered roots (.opencode/, skills/agents) as needed |

Auto-detect without force MUST NOT create .opencode/ solely for MCP opt-in. Forced activation is owned by Install / CLI; this package’s detect stays an honest presence predicate. Lone project-root AGENTS.md is not an OpenCode signal (shared compile family with Cursor/Codex).

Deploy roots

Registered roots:

  • .opencode — skills → skills/<name>/SKILL.md, agents → agents/<name>.md, commands → commands/<name>.md
  • . — project-root opencode.json (MCP) and compile AGENTS.md (writers hard-limit basenames)

Materialize routing

| Primitive type | Destination | | -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- | | skill | .opencode/skills/<name>/SKILL.md | | agent | .opencode/agents/<name>.md | | command | .opencode/commands/<name>.md | | instruction | skip (compile-only → AGENTS.md; non-fatal diagnostic) | | hook | skip (OPENCODE_HOOKS_UNSUPPORTED) |

Skills stay under .opencode/skills/ (not APM .agents/skills/). Writes never escape registered roots. Materialize does not write opencode.json. MCP is only via configureMcp.

Compile

compile defaults to project-root AGENTS.md, includes instruction primitives, and honors write for preview vs durable emit. Cursor, Codex, and OpenCode share the AGENTS.md family: last writer wins per invocation.

MCP configure (configureMcp)

  • Creates/updates project-root opencode.json under top-level mcp
  • Portable/stdio{ type: "local", command: [command, ...args], environment? }
  • Portable streamable-http / host http{ type: "remote", url, headers? }
  • Portable sse (and undocumented transports) fail closed — diagnostic, no invented entry
  • Preserves unrelated top-level keys and other mcp server names
  • Returns ConfigureMcpReport (configPath: "opencode.json", servers, deployedFiles) for lock inventory

Activation

targets:
  opencode: "@b-apm/integration-opencode"
active:
  - opencode
npm i -D @b-apm/integration-opencode
bapm install --target opencode

Dependencies

Depends only on @b-apm/integration-api among bapm packages — not @b-apm/core. Register via createIntegrationRegistry().register(createOpencodeIntegration()) in CLI or tests. Named createIntegration is also exported for object-map load.
