Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Create DJS Bot

The easiest way to get started with a Discord.js v14 bot is by using @baldybdev/create-djs-bot. This CLI tool enables you to quickly scaffold a new Discord.js application, with everything set up for you. You can create a new bot project interactively or non-interactively with command line arguments.

Interactive

You can create a new project interactively by running:

npx @baldybdev/create-djs-bot@latest

You will be asked for:

  • The name of your bot folder
  • Your Discord bot token (optional)
  • Your Discord bot client ID (optional)
  • The package manager to use (npm, yarn, or pnpm)

Example prompt:

? Bot folder name: my-djs-bot
? Bot token (optional, you can fill it in later):
? Bot client ID (optional, you can fill it in later):
? Which package manager do you want to use? (Use arrow keys)

Non-interactive

You can also pass command line arguments to set up a new project non-interactively. See npx @baldybdev/create-djs-bot@latest --help
