Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Web runtime for deterministic KLineCharts scenes.

Readme

@baron1996/klinecharts-runtime

Browser editing runtime and standard annotation toolbar for deterministic KLineCharts ChartScene files.

npm install --save-exact @baron1996/[email protected] @baron1996/[email protected]
import { parseChartScene } from '@baron1996/kline-scene-schema';
import { createKLineSceneRuntime } from '@baron1996/klinecharts-runtime';

// chartSceneInput is a complete embedded ChartScene JSON value from the host.
const scene = parseChartScene(chartSceneInput);
let runtime = await createKLineSceneRuntime(container, scene);

await runtime.setPriceScale('linear');
runtime.startOverlayDrawing('priceMeasurement');

const overlayId = runtime.startOverlayDrawing('horizontalStraightLine');
const drawingCompleted = new Promise<void>((resolve) => {
  const unsubscribe = runtime.subscribe((event) => {
    if (event.type === 'overlay-created' && event.overlay.id === overlayId) {
      unsubscribe();
      resolve();
    }
  });
});

// One pointer interaction inside container completes the horizontal line.
await drawingCompleted;
const exportedScene = runtime.exportScene();
const serializedScene = JSON.stringify(exportedScene);
runtime.destroy();

runtime = await createKLineSceneRuntime(
  container,
  JSON.parse(serializedScene),
);

The runtime does not provide undo or redo and does not fetch market data. Runtime 0.2.0 events are structured-cloneable pure data with sceneVersion: 1 and runtimeVersion: '0.2.0'. Measurement scenes persist only their two data-coordinate endpoints, styles, and opaque metadata; displayed absolute and percentage changes are derived.

Cross-period Drawing orchestration

Cross-period Drawing uses the existing DrawableWorkspaceRuntime in explicit host-confirmed mode. The coordinator binds a host-owned stable instrument key to the Workspace scopeKey, loads a complete replacement Scene through a host port, and commits a Drawing candidate only after the persistence receipt returns the exact Runtime canonical hash.

import {
  createCrossPeriodDrawingCoordinator,
  createDrawableWorkspaceRuntime,
} from '@baron1996/klinecharts-runtime';

const runtime = await createDrawableWorkspaceRuntime(container, loadedWorkspace, {
  commitMode: 'host-confirmed',
});

const coordinator = createCrossPeriodDrawingCoordinator(
  runtime,
  {
    instrumentKey: 'CN:600519',
    scopeKey: loadedWorkspace.drawings.scopeKey,
  },
  {
    initialRevision: loadedRevision,
    async loadScene({ binding, period, currentWorkspace }) {
      // The host assembles a complete Scene. Financial market data must come
      // through fxxking-data.
      return hostSceneLoader.load({ binding, period, currentWorkspace });
    },
    async persistCandidate(request) {
      // owner, permissions, audit and database transactions stay in the host.
      return drawingRepository.compareAndSet(request);
    },
  },
);

await coordinator.switchPeriod({ type: 'week', span: 1 });
await coordinator.waitForIdle();

coordinator.destroy();
runtime.destroy();

The coordinator never derives scopeKey from scene.symbol.ticker, never accesses the KLineCharts Chart, and never converts legacy ChartScene.overlays into a Workspace. A Scene switch changes only workspace.scene; the confirmed DrawingDocument remains byte-identical.
