Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

BetterPortal Registry

Immutable registry for BetterPortal /.well-known/bp/schema.json service contracts.

The production API is hosted at https://io.betterportal.org. BSB packages continue to publish their BSB schemas separately; this service also accepts contracts from PHP, .NET, Go, and other BP implementations.

Build the combined BSB + BetterPortal registry image from the repository root:

docker build -f services/nodejs/registry/Dockerfile -t betterportal/registry .

The BSB registry UI listens on port 3210; the BP contract API listens on port 3211. docker-compose.coolify.yaml builds and runs this image: route the UI hostname to 3210, map io.betterportal.org to 3211, and persist /mnt/temp. Set separate BP_REGISTRY_TOKEN and BP_COMMUNITY_REGISTRY_TOKEN values of at least 16 characters; the release workflow uses the same BP_REGISTRY_TOKEN as a GitHub Actions repository secret. Namespace credentials and their permitted reverse-domain plugin ID prefixes are configured in sec-config.yaml.

Published versions are immutable. Re-publishing byte-equivalent canonical contract content is idempotent; reusing the version with changed content or binding a plugin ID to another registry reference returns 409.
