Complete iChat Web Component — bundles messages + input into a single <i-chat> element. Re-exports all extension APIs so you only need one dependency.

The global build (~623KB) is self-contained — no extra <script> tags needed.

Re-exports

All extension APIs are available from @bndynet/ichat without installing sub-packages:

Also re-exports commonly used types (ChatMessage, ChatMessageRole, ChatConfig, etc.).

These global module-level APIs support runtime registration. New extensions affect subsequently added or updated content without automatically refreshing existing rendered content.

For custom x-* part types, use the generic Chat<TExtraParts> to get full type-checking of your custom part data — see Generic type support in the API docs.

Backend integration is done via ChatRunController — see the streaming integration guide in the main README.

chat.busy is a read-only UI state covering submission preprocessing and assistant streaming. New sends are blocked while busy, but the default textarea remains editable for the next draft; custom composers can mirror the state with the bubbling busy-change event.
