Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

npm and headless SDK

For the full visual editor without its suite header or recovery startup, load ?embed=1. Use ?recovery=off to keep the header but disable browser recovery. Existing backups are preserved; see browser embedding options.

Embed custom UIs or Node jobs with createHeadlessEditor from the root or /headless entry. It isolates documents and validates synchronous transactions; see the embedding API.

ESM library for Node.js 24+, with generated TypeScript declarations. After publication, install with npm install @bookklik/pivo-ortho and import from @bookklik/pivo-ortho/headless, @bookklik/pivo-ortho/core or @bookklik/pivo-ortho/io. No CLI or browser is required for the documented portable operations.

See SDK usage, supported operations and manual publishing. Build with npm run build:lib; validate an isolated production install with npm run check:consumer. These commands do not run the unit suite.

Run locally

Use Node.js 24 and npm.

npm ci
npm run dev

Open the local URL printed by Vite. Requires a current desktop browser with WebGL2 and a mouse and keyboard. Projects stay in your browser; save downloaded project files as backups.

Build and documentation

npm run build # production app in dist/
npm run docs:dev # local documentation server
npm run docs:build # static docs in docs/.vitepress/dist/
npm run docs:preview # preview docs after building

See the tutorials, limitations, and verification for usage, supported features, and recorded checks.

Production readiness

See readiness findings and release procedure for the browser app and npm release checks for the SDK. Unit tests remain manual; package CI validates builds, dependencies and isolated consumers without executing unit suites.
