CID-10 (the Brazilian edition of ICD-10 published by DATASUS) as a typed, versioned, offline dataset.
npm install @br-health-kit/cid10import { cid10 } from '@br-health-kit/cid10'
cid10.find('J45') // category
cid10.find('J45.0') // subcategory
cid10.search('asma') // ranked
cid10.isValid('J45.9') // exists in the dataset
cid10.childrenOf('J45') // ['J45.0','J45.1','J45.8','J45.9']
cid10.parentOf('J45.0') // category J45
cid10.chapterOf('I21') // chapter IX
cid10.groupOf('J45') // J40-J47What the dataset contains
Version 2008 (the revision DATASUS publishes), 14,530 records:
| Table | Records | | --- | --- | | chapters | 22 | | groups | 275 | | categories | 2,045 | | subcategories | 12,188 |
Every codeable entry carries classification (the dagger + / asterisk *
system), sexRestriction, allowedAsCauseOfDeath, references, excludes,
chapter and group.
Accepted code shapes
J45.9, J459, j45.9, J45,9, and with surrounding whitespace, all resolve
to the same code. These are the shapes that actually appear in spreadsheets,
TISS guides and legacy databases.
Syntactic validity is not existence
cid10.isValid('J45.7') // false - well formed, not a real CID-10 code
cid10.isValid('J45.9') // trueEnvironment
Node 20+ through the default entry, which reads its data from disk, including Next.js server components, route handlers and Remix loaders.
For a client bundle use @br-health-kit/cid10/web, which takes the data from
you instead of reading from disk. See docs/browser.md.
