Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

v2.1.0

Published

Builds out the AIM pages, static files, and vuex stores

Readme

aim-nuxt-builder

Builds out the fundamental pieces of the AIM application such as the page index, context switching, implicit grant authorization, and default page layout.

Installation

npm i @byu-oit/aim-nuxt-builder

The postinstall script will copy everything in the common directory to your current working directory in a src folder. If there are duplicates, they will be overwritten. If you believe a modification to one of these files is necessary, please make a pull request or submit an issue on the source repository

Documentation

Options may be given either in-line or declared on the top-level of the nuxt configuration object. In-line options will overwrite options declared on the top-level of the next configuration object. These options only apply to the current project and do not extend to other page builds.

The type definition for AIM builder options are here. The defaults are:

{
    modules?: string[]
    routes?: RouterConfig
}

Modules

A place to give the name of the modules to build along with the local project.

The pages must be installed and located correctly in the node_modules directory. The entry file of each module must export an object following the Config Type Definition.

NOTE: You may NOT define an index route in a page module as it will conflict with the AIM Index Page. Any page that conflicts with an existing page, will be ignored.

Contributing

Submit a PR with a fix or feature. Bug fixes must pass tests. New features must include new tests to prove their reliability. This helps in maintaining this library and prevents stale code.

Appendix

Definitions

Product: a grouping of web resources.

Web Resource: the metadata pertaining to a page.
