C64Cade Ultimate Bridge
Local bridge server for connecting C64Cade to an Ultimate 64 II or Commodore 64 Ultimate device on your network.
Use this if you prefer an npm-installed bridge, cannot use the browser extension, or need to connect to a password-protected Ultimate device.
Install
npm install -g @c64cade/ultimate-bridgeNode.js 18 or newer is required.
Start
ultimate-bridgeBy default the bridge listens at:
http://localhost:6464You can change the port or host if needed:
ultimate-bridge --port=6464
ultimate-bridge --host=127.0.0.1 --port=6464Use With C64Cade
- Start
ultimate-bridgeon the same computer as your browser. - Open a supported Ultimate launch page on C64Cade.
- Set Bridge URL to
http://localhost:6464. - Enter your Ultimate device IP address, such as
192.168.0.10. - Enter your Ultimate network password only if your device requires one.
- Use Test Connection, Reboot Ultimate, or Launch on Ultimate.
What It Does
The bridge accepts requests from C64Cade in your browser and sends them to your Ultimate device on your local network. It can:
- test the device connection
- launch supported PRG, CRT, and D64 games
- reboot the Ultimate device
- read small C64 memory ranges for supported score tracking features
Privacy And Security
The bridge runs locally on your computer. It does not send your Ultimate IP address or password to C64Cade servers.
By default it binds to localhost, which means it is only reachable from your own computer. Only change the host if you understand the network exposure.
