Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Design tokens and self-hosted web fonts for the CAI Design System.

Installation

npm install @cai-ds/tokens

Usage

Via npm/bundler

import '@cai-ds/tokens'

Via CDN (jsDelivr)

What's included

  • Primitives: Color scales, spacing, typography, shadows, radius tokens
  • Semantic themes: Light, dark, and high-contrast color modes
  • Self-hosted fonts: IBM Plex Serif, Sans, and Mono families (included in cai-tokens.css)
  • Custom faces: DM Sans, Space Grotesk, and Freckle Face for custom themes

CSS Custom Properties

All tokens are available as CSS custom properties (CSS variables) scoped to :root:

Fonts

The base tokens file includes @font-face declarations for IBM Plex Serif, Sans, and Mono. These are served from the same CDN and will load automatically when you import the tokens.

For custom themes using Space Grotesk or DM Sans, those fonts are in dist/fonts/custom-faces/.
