Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Origine's own UI kit (canon: index/prototype/). Standalone Angular components with o- selectors and --o-* tokens; no Bootstrap, FontAwesome or @thescaffold/ngx-ui dependency in the new code. The older x-element-* components and theme/legacy stay only until PLAN M1-P8.

Use

Load Hanken Grotesk, JetBrains Mono and (landing only) Instrument Serif in the host page. Switch themes with ThemeService (<html data-theme>); ViewportService answers phone/tablet/desktop for structural choices; use theme/breakpoints (o-up, o-down) in SCSS.

Checks (run before changing a colour or a primitive)

  • node projects/ui/tools/contrast.mjs — WCAG AA for every token pair in both themes.
  • npx ng build gallery then serve dist/gallery/browser — every primitive on one page; look at it at 360 and 1280 px, light and dark.
  • CHROME_BIN=<chrome> npx ng test ui --watch=false --browsers=ChromeHeadless.
  • Rules: a block that scrolls sideways gets tabindex="0" and an aria-label; touch targets are at least --o-tap (44px) on coarse pointers; never reduce a button's opacity to show busy.
