Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

TypeScript client, builder, and tooling for the Clarity (CLRTY) JSON-RPC node

Readme

@claritychain/rpc

TypeScript client, transaction builder, and tooling for the Clarity (CLRTY) JSON-RPC node.

  • Typed client for every method on the RPC surface
  • Transaction builder with pluggable signing
  • Merkle proof verification against a state root
  • HTTP and WebSocket transports behind one interface
  • Polling watchers for blocks and transactions
  • Capability probing via getMethods()
  • BigInt-safe — everything over 2^53 stays hex until you format it

Install

npm install @claritychain/rpc
# optional, for WebSocket transport:
npm install ws

Node 18+ required (uses the global fetch and AbortController).

Quick start

import { RpcClient, DEFAULT_RPC_URL } from "@claritychain/rpc";

const client = new RpcClient({ url: DEFAULT_RPC_URL });

const status = await client.status();
console.log("height:", status.height);
console.log("peers:", status.peer_count);
console.log("validators:", (await client.getActiveSet()).size);

Watching new blocks

import { RpcClient, BlockWatcher } from "@claritychain/rpc";

const client = new RpcClient();
const watcher = new BlockWatcher(client, { intervalMs: 1000 });

watcher.on("block", (header) => {
  console.log(`#${BigInt(header.height)} ${header.hash.slice(0, 18)}…`);
});
watcher.on("error", console.error);
watcher.start();

// later
watcher.stop();

Building and signing a transfer

import { RpcClient, TxBuilder } from "@claritychain/rpc";

const client = new RpcClient();

const unsigned = await TxBuilder.transfer({
  from: "clrty1…",
  to: "clrty1…",
  amount: 1_000_000n, // 10 CLRTY in atomic units
  fee: 1_000n,
  nonce: 0n,
  chainId: await client.chainId().then((r) => BigInt(r.chain_id)),
});

const signed = await unsigned.sign(async (hash) => {
  // return 64-byte signature hex for `hash`
});

await client.sendRawTransaction(signed.toHex());

Verifying a state proof

import { RpcClient, verifyProof } from "@claritychain/rpc";

const client = new RpcClient();
const proof = await client.getProof({
  key_type: 0,
  key_bytes: "0x…",
  version: "current",
});

const ok = verifyProof(proof, { expectedRoot: proof.state_root });
console.log("proof verifies:", ok);
