Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Install public skills, workflows, sub-agents and kits from claudehub.cc into your .claude directory

Readme

@claudehubcc/install

Install public skills, workflows, sub-agents and kits from claudehub.cc straight into your project's .claude/ directory, with no login required.

Usage

# Install any public item by its claudehub.cc URL
npx @claudehubcc/install https://claudehub.cc/skills/<id>
npx @claudehubcc/install https://claudehub.cc/workflows/<id>
npx @claudehubcc/install https://claudehub.cc/sub-agents/<id>
npx @claudehubcc/install https://claudehub.cc/kits/<id>

# Equivalent explicit form
npx @claudehubcc/install add https://claudehub.cc/skills/<id>

# Install into a specific project directory
npx @claudehubcc/install https://claudehub.cc/skills/<id> --dir ./my-project

The item type is inferred from the URL, so there is no flag to set.

What gets written

The layout matches the site's download/export exactly:

| Type | Destination | | ---------- | ------------------------------------ | | Skill | .claude/skills/<name>/ | | Workflow | .claude/skills/<name>/ (+ workflow-graph.yaml) | | Sub-agent | .claude/agents/<name>.md | | Kit | .claude/skills/... + .claude/agents/... |

Each install is recorded in claudehub-lock.json at the project root ({ type, id, source, version, hash }) so installs can be tracked and updated.

Items imported from GitHub

Skills and sub-agents that claudehub.cc imported from a GitHub repository are downloaded straight from that repository, so you always get its latest content. GitHub allows 60 anonymous API requests per hour; set GITHUB_TOKEN (or GH_TOKEN) to raise that limit. If GitHub is unavailable the install falls back to the claudehub.cc download automatically.

Public items only

Only public items can be installed without authentication. Private items return "not found"; paid items that have not been purchased return a clear error.

Configuration

For local development you can point the CLI at a different instance:

CLAUDEHUB_URL=http://localhost:3000 \
CLAUDEHUB_API_URL=http://localhost:4000 \
  npx @claudehubcc/install http://localhost:3000/skills/<id>
