Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@cocokits/react-button

The @cocokits/react-button package provides essential UI components that enhance button interactions in React applications. The components included in this package are designed to be flexible, customizable, and easy to integrate into various design systems.

This package includes the following components:

  • Button
  • IconButton

Button

The Button component offers a customizable and flexible button element that can be easily styled to match any design system. It allows for different configurations, including varying button types, sizes, and colors. This component is ideal for standard UI actions such as submitting forms or triggering events.

Features:

  • Customizable: Configure the size, color, and type of the button based on your design needs.
  • Theming Compatibility: Works with multiple design system themes, maintaining visual consistency across your application.
  • Flexible Configuration: Supports various button types like primary, secondary, or icon buttons.

IconButton

The IconButton component is a versatile UI element that integrates icons into button interfaces. It enhances user experience by combining text and icons or displaying an icon alone. This makes it perfect for visually representing actions such as navigating, editing, or deleting.

Features:

  • Versatile Icon Integration: Display an icon alone or alongside text to represent different actions.
  • Theming Compatibility: Seamlessly integrates with multiple design system themes, ensuring adaptability to the application's style.
  • Customizable Appearance: Adjust the size, color, and other stylistic attributes for full control over the component's appearance.

Styling and Theming

The components in this package do not include any built-in styles. However, @cocokits/react-button adds CSS classes to the elements based on the provided configuration. You can style the components yourself or apply a theme from CocoKits.

CocoKits provides ready-made theming options, or you can create a custom design using your CSS or SCSS styles.
