Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Build locally

cargo build --release

Run the editor

From this repo:

cargo run

After building:

./target/release/codesook-omp

Install with npm

npm i -g @codesook/codesook-omp
codesook-omp

Install with mise

mise use -g github:codesook/codesook-omp
codesook-omp

If autodetection fails:

mise use -g 'github:codesook/codesook-omp[matching=aarch64-apple-darwin]'

Config path

~/.config/codesook-omp/config.json

Normal workflow

Run codesook-omp, change fields, press s to save, press q to quit, then run or reload OMP.

Manual local extension checks

Prompt border plugin install:

omp plugin install /absolute/path/to/omp-prompt-border-style

Welcome screen extension load:

omp -e /absolute/path/to/omp-welcome-screen
