DevAI CLI — initialize and sync AI-assisted project workspaces using skills and rules from the DevAI Cockpit.

Requirements

• Node.js 22 LTS or later

Usage (recommended)

Prefer npx so you always run the latest version from the npm registry — no global install to keep in sync:

npx @coetech/devai-cli auth login
npx @coetech/devai-cli init
npx @coetech/devai-cli project sync

Quick Start

# 1. Sign in
npx @coetech/devai-cli auth login

# 2. Browse available SSG projects
npx @coetech/devai-cli project list

# 3. Initialize a workspace (pick a project → install its installed product)
mkdir my-workspace && cd my-workspace
npx @coetech/devai-cli init

# 4. Sync the workspace later
npx @coetech/devai-cli project sync

Commands

Prefix every command with npx @coetech/devai-cli:

Example: npx @coetech/devai-cli auth status

Optional: global install

Only if you prefer a local devai binary. The installed version stays fixed until you upgrade:

npm install -g @coetech/devai-cli
npm update -g @coetech/devai-cli   # when you want a newer release

For day-to-day use, npx @coetech/devai-cli is preferred so you always get the newest published version.

Session Storage

Sessions are stored at ~/.devai/credentials.json. Run npx @coetech/devai-cli auth logout to remove the local session.

Binary conflict

If another devai binary is on your PATH, prefer npx (it always targets this package):

npx @coetech/devai-cli --version
which devai   # only relevant if you installed globally
