Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Conductor CLI — orchestrate Claude Code across your codebase.

Readme

@conductor-cli/cli

CI npm version npm downloads license

The open-source CLI for Conductor — an orchestration backend that turns specs into tasks and runs Claude Code against them, so you don't have to babysit an agent one prompt at a time.

your project ──▶ conductor run ──▶ Conductor API ──▶ pulls next spec
                       │ │

This repository is the client: it talks to the Conductor API over HTTPS using your project's API key. It has no dependency on Conductor's internal infrastructure — anyone can read it, fork it, or build an alternative client against the same API contract. The hosted dashboard, team features, and billing live in Conductor Cloud (closed source, conductor.software).

Install

npm i -D @conductor-cli/cli

Quick start

npx conductor init # wizard: project_id + api_key
export CONDUCTOR_API_KEY=cnd_...
npx conductor run # execute next pending spec

Commands

| Command | Purpose | | ---------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | | conductor init | Wizard. Writes conductor.config.json, stores API key in OS keychain. | | conductor run [--all] [--watch] | Run the orchestrator against pending specs. | | conductor status | Project info + latest specs. | | conductor register --path <p> | Register a project with the local conductord daemon. | | conductor upgrade | npm update @conductor-cli/cli in the current project. | | conductor version | Print CLI version. |

conductor run uses the bundled orchestrator engine by default. If your project ships its own ./scripts/orchestrator.mjs, that's used instead — this keeps existing Conductor projects working unchanged.

Environment variables

| Var | Default | Notes | | ------------------------ | ----------------------------- | ------------------------------------- | | CONDUCTOR_API_KEY | — | Required. | | CONDUCTOR_URL | https://conductor.software | API endpoint. | | CONDUCTOR_MASTER_PASS | (machine-specific) | Encrypts the keychain fallback file. | | CONDUCTORD_URL | http://127.0.0.1:7731 | Used by conductor register. |

Cross-platform key storage

  • macOS: Keychain via security.
  • Linux: secret-tool (libsecret).
  • Fallback (any OS): AES-256-GCM encrypted ~/.conductor/keys.enc.

See CONTRIBUTING.md. Bug reports and PRs welcome — this package has zero dependency on Conductor's private infrastructure, so you can develop and test it fully offline against a mocked API.
