Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@connect-xyz/auth-react

A React SDK that enables frontend React applications to seamlessly integrate with the Connect Auth product.

Connect Auth provides a secure, customizable authentication flow for crypto deposits. Learn more in the Connect Auth documentation.

Requirements

  • React 18.0.0 or higher
  • React DOM 18.0.0 or higher

Installation

npm install @connect-xyz/auth-react

Getting Started

Follow these simple steps to integrate Connect Auth into your React application:

1. Import the Auth Component

import { Auth } from '@connect-xyz/auth-react';

2. Add the Auth Component to Your App

function App() {
  const jwt = 'your-jwt-token'; // Obtain this from your backend authentication

  return (
    <Auth
      jwt={jwt}
      env="production" // or "sandbox" for testing
      theme="auto" // 'auto' (default), 'light', or 'dark'
    />
  );
}

3. Configure Event Callbacks (Optional)

Listen to events from the Auth SDK to handle user interactions:

function App() {
  const jwt = 'your-jwt-token';

  const handleError = ({ errorCode, reason }) => {
    console.log('Auth error occurred:', errorCode, 'Reason:', reason);
  };

  const handleClose = () => {
    console.log('Auth widget closed');
  };

  const handleDeposit = ({ data }) => {
    console.log('Deposit data:', data);
  };

  const handleEvent = ({ type, data }) => {
    console.log('Auth event:', type, 'Data:', data);
  };

  return (
    <Auth
      jwt={jwt}
      env="production"
      theme="auto" // 'auto' (default), 'light', or 'dark'
      onError={handleError}
      onClose={handleClose}
      onDeposit={handleDeposit}
      onEvent={handleEvent}
    />
  );
}

For detailed information about callback events and their payloads, see the Auth SDK Callbacks documentation.

Complete Example

Here's a full example of integrating Connect Auth into your React application:

import React from 'react';
import { Auth } from '@connect-xyz/auth-react';

function App() {
  // JWT token should be obtained from your backend
  const jwt = 'your-jwt-token';

  // Choose environment: "production" for live apps, "sandbox" for testing
  const environment = 'production';

  return (
    <div className="App">
      <h1>My Crypto App</h1>

      <Auth
        jwt={jwt}
        env={environment}
        theme="auto" // 'auto' (default), 'light', or 'dark'
        onError={({ errorCode, reason }) => {
          console.log('Error:', errorCode, 'Reason:', reason);
        }}
        onClose={() => {
          console.log('Auth widget closed');
        }}
        onDeposit={({ data }) => {
          console.log('Deposit successful:', data);
        }}
        onEvent={({ type, data }) => {
          console.log('Event type:', type, 'Event data:', data);
        }}
      />
    </div>
  );
}

export default App;
