Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@copilot-datagate/cli

Thin npm wrapper for DataGate. The canonical binaries are published in GitHub Releases; this package exists for MCP clients and editors that prefer an npx install path.

npx -y @copilot-datagate/cli mcp stdio

The wrapper downloads the matching GitHub Release binary for the host platform and dispatches arguments to it.

Environment

  • COPILOT_DATAGATE_BIN: use an already installed binary instead of downloading.
  • COPILOT_DATAGATE_VERSION: override the wrapper package version when selecting the release tag.
  • COPILOT_DATAGATE_CACHE: override the binary cache directory.

Database credentials are not handled by this package. Configure DataGate through project-local .datagate/datagate.toml and environment variables.
