Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Bootstrap CLI for the Co-Scientist OpenCode plugin.

Install

npm install -g @coscientist/cosci

Or run once:

npx -y @coscientist/cosci init

Or bunx:

bunx @coscientist/cosci init

MCP Runner

If you want to run the MCP toolbox directly (without OpenCode):

npx -y @coscientist/cosci mcp-run

Or bunx:

bunx @coscientist/cosci mcp-run

What It Writes

  • .opencode/plugins/coscientist.js
  • .mcp.json with MCP toolbox server

Options

cosci init \
  --plugin-package @coscientist/opencode-plugin \
  --mcp-package @coscientist/mcp-toolbox@latest \
  --runner npx \
  --mcp-scope project

Use local plugin path:

cosci init --plugin-path ./dist/index.js

Write MCP config to global scope:

cosci init --mcp-scope global

Write MCP config to Claude scope:

cosci init --mcp-scope claude

Notes

  • Safe by default. Use --force to overwrite.
  • Use --skip-mcp or --skip-plugin to opt out.
