@courseproof/provider-nptel

Provider for verifying NPTEL certificates. Detects and verifies certificate URLs from NPTEL by fetching the page and extracting structured data.

Detection

The provider detects URLs matching the following patterns:

• nptel.ac.in/…
• onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/…

Verification

When verify(url) is called, the provider:

1. Fetches the certificate page
2. Extracts structured data using JSON-LD, HTML selectors, or regex patterns
3. Returns a CertificateResult with the parsed certificate information

Usage

cp.registerProvider(new NptelProvider());

const result = await cp.verify("https://nptel.ac.in/…/verify/abc123");
