Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

js-dev-tools

A CLI to setup development tools. Will create configuration files, add npm scripts, and install dependencies.

Supported tools are:

  • babel
  • eslint
  • lint-staged
  • prettier
  • typescript (with babel)

Install

Install using yarn:

$ yarn global add @cszatma/js-dev-tools

Or use npm if you wish:

$ npm install -g @cszatma/js-dev-tools

Usage

To use the program run the following in the directory of your choice.

$ js-dev-tools

Make sure there is a package.json file in the directory for it to work.
Also make sure there is a yarn.lock file if you would like to use yarn to install the dependencies.

If exisiting configuration files are detected the program will abort. If you wish to continue anyway run:

$ js-dev-tools --force
