Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Lightweight FFmpeg utilities for decoding audio into speech-ready PCM samples.

Features

  • Decodes any audio format supported by FFmpeg
  • Returns interleaved Float32Array PCM samples
  • Defaults to 16 kHz mono audio for speech recognition
  • Applies speech-oriented band-pass filtering and EBU R128 normalization
  • Downloads a pinned, checksum-verified FFmpeg 8 binary during installation
  • Supports macOS, Linux, and Windows on x64 and arm64

Installation

pnpm add @cuttledoc/ffmpeg

The package downloads the matching FFmpeg binary during installation. Set SKIP_FFMPEG=true to skip that download, or set FFMPEG_PATH to use an existing FFmpeg executable.
